Study: We're smarter without sex

A recent study has found that people's preoccupation with sex has made them less intellectual and hinders their ability to learn.

Researchers from Purdue University examined 42 Indiana high schools of similar size and demographic. Half of those schools offered an abstinence education program and encouraged students to wait until adulthood before having sex, the other half did not.

The conservative schools that urged abstinence enjoyed a 1.5 per cent increase in student grades each year they ran the program.

In conclusion, the professors believed that a traditionalist approach to sex led to improved marks and fewer teen pregnancies.

That said, surely individuals not engaging in sex are still thinking or fantasising about it just as frequently, so perhaps the teachers just happened to be more proficient at those schools?

One wonders, but at least we can agree that the less we think about sex the more brain power there is to focus on other important things. We're just not sure what they are.
